Cost and Application for Directors

Before proceeding, please read Qualifications of Directors

* It is important to understand and agree to all entries below before continuing with the director application.

Cost:
* Registration: All registration fees are determined by each director. We suggest that directors charge from $50.00 to $65.00 for registration. Each director keeps all registration fees. We do not receive any portion of registration fees. Those fees cover the process of registration, insurance costs, facility costs, equipment, etc. In short, they should be used for all expenses incurred by directors for teaching/directing the classes of Jill's Dixon's Eclectic Academy of Learning.
* Income: Each director keeps 55% of all monies received from students for classes. We receive from directors 45% of all monies received from students for classes. As stated previously, we are not aware of any other school which is comparable to Jill Dixon's Eclectic Academy of Learning that offers anywhere near our money earning model for directors. In all instances that we know about, the publisher/supplier of the curricula receives the greatest part of monies received from students - sometimes the percentage difference is large with the publisher/supplier receiving the lion's share of monies paid for classes.
* Additional Requirement: Each director will need at least 10 paying students in order to start an academy and will need to maintain at least 10 paying students each year in order to continue directing an academy.

Application: After you agree to the three terms above marked with an asterisk, we will send you an application for directorship. The application will consist of an application proper and a license agreement. We operate Jill Dixon's Eclectic Academy of Learning under license agreements with our directors. As such, our directors are not our employees nor are they subcontracted by us. They do not operate in an independent contractor status with us. While the license agreement is a binding legal contract with reciprocal obligations, it also affords a much larger sphere of freedom for each director. We believe it also is and offers a better model for directors of Jill Dixon's Eclectic Academy of Learning than the employee or subcontractor/independent contractor model.
