Why Do We Use File Secure Pro?
Our Story
Not long after we started our business, a homeschool supply company in the Midwest pirated the copyrights of seven of our products. Our various losses were, and still are, significant from that copyright infringement. (Also, the grind of legal remedy is yet still ahead for us.) Because of all of this, we determined never to be easy targets again. Since we market to homeschoolers, public schools, and private schools both in the US and in foreign countries, our exposure to all types of people is broad. We know that, by far, most homeschoolers and other educators are good and honest people, but we have been made to correspondingly adjust because of the few fraudulent ones. We wish it were otherwise, of course. For several years we wanted to make some of our best selling products available to our customers in eBook format, but, unbeknownst to most people, all PDF's that allow printing have extremely serious back door security holes. Because of that, we stayed on the sidelines. Then we found File Secure Pro, a software program specifically developed for people, such as ourselves, with real concerns for copyright protection. FSP effectively closes all security holes by wrapping a robust .exe shell around each PDF and supplying a free unique viewer with each download for accessing. (Those who download more that one eBook only need to install the viewer one time.) We really want to give our customers the option to purchase in eBook format, so we continue to offer this option with robust protection. In these days of legitimate security concerns, from time to time there can be minor clashes with systems that implement strong security features. In most cases, there are no problems when a customer downloads one of our eBooks. However, sometimes customers get error messages while downloading. As stated, these are minor. They are easily remedied. As customer service is a true priority with us, we truly endeavor to solve any problem that may arise. We are easy to work with and we are here for all of our customers.
